An introduction to Mantra Meditation You are invited to an introduction to a very simple, but very effective form of meditation. It promotes peace, deep relaxation and well-being practiced just 20 minutes twice a day. The session will consist of a talk on the theory of The Mantra Meditation Technique which will be followed by a taster of the practice. Mantra Meditation was first introduced to the west by his Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who taught the practice to many people including the Beatles. Yogi Paul was trained to teach Mantra Meditation by Walter Bellin who after leaving Berkeley University [where he taught philosophy/psychology] took up the position of head coordinator for the Transcendental Meditation movement for the California area. A CD with The Full Course of Mantra Meditation will be on on sale at this event. The talk will be held on Friday 3 February at The Yoga Sanctuary, 235 Liscard, Road, Wallasey. Meditation and Spiritual awakening days
The purpose of these events is to give people the opportunity to feel and connect more deeply to themselves, both human and divine aspects, and let go of some of the negative stress which we all tend to pick up as we go through life.
People who have attended these events usually feel a 'new' sense of self which is felt as a greater awareness, also attendee's find themselves having realizations about aspects of their lives that needed to be sorted out.
People also report that they feel more elevated and peacefull for for a couple of weeks after attending a workshop.
The days start at 9 45am and finish at 5 pm.
Here is a rundown on the content of the days schedule:
Hindu fire ceremony (Agni Hotra), brings deep peace and calm.
Chanting of sanskrit mantras, helps you let go of negative feelings and tension.
Dynamic Breathing, is good for the release of deep emotional blocks and energizes.
Shaking exercise, again very energizinig and activates the life force in you body.
Meditation, allows you to connect to the deeper peacefull part of yourself.
A suggested donation for the day would be £35 working and £25 concessions.
